What to read to become a painter?
While there is no need for any kind of degree or diploma other than art to become a good painter, but now many diploma and degree courses have also been made for painting since the development of academia. There are two ways you can go on to become a painter.
The first way to pursue a career as a painter is to take a BFA ie Bachelor in Fine Arts course after class XII. After doing this course, you can establish your career as a painter.
To do BFA, you must have scored at least more than 50% marks in class XII. Stream taken in class XII does not matter for doing BFA, you can do BFA from any stream.
The second way to pursue a career as a painter is to take a course, such as Diploma in sketch art or a Diploma in Painting, after class XII. By doing this you can establish a career in painting.

What is the need for a degree or diploma?
Good companies can hire you after completing a degree or diploma. A good company always has a crowd of people who want to work there, in such a situation, if you have a degree or diploma along with arts then you will be given more preference.
Another advantage of doing a degree or diploma is that no one is fully skilled in any work. Any improvement required to become a skilled painter from an informal painter can be learned during the degree or diploma studies.
